All though I happen to like a lot of typical “teen” stuff, I absolutly have fell in love with this movie called
Fried Green Tomatoes. Here’s the summery according to IMDB.com:
Evelyn Couch is having trouble in her marriage, and no one seems to take her seriously. While in a nursing home visiting relatives, she meets Ninny Threadgoode, an outgoing old woman, who tells her the story of Idgie Threadgoode, a young woman in 1920’s Alabama. Through Idgie’s inspiring life, Evelyn learns to be more assertive and builds a lasting friendship of her own with Ninny. Written by Kevin {Kibble@vm.temple.edu}
It was made in the early 90’s and i think it’s such a sweet and endearing movie. Go check it out if you ever have the chance. You totally won’t regret it!

This one was taken by accident. I was walking my dog Dingo one day and happen to have my camera. We stopped because i saw a really pretty orange flower. But Dingo’s leash got tangled and when i tried to snap a picture of the flower, the camera fell out of my hand and took this instead.

I consider myself pretty good with animals. I am good with dogs, i love dogs, dogs rule. My friends rats are a little gross, but i can handle them well too. I can work well with them. But for some reason, cats freak me out. I don’t know what it is about them. But the way they watch you and how their tails swish just makes me really uneasy. My mom and sister always tell me that the cat won’t hurt me and i know that, but i just don’t get them. I think that not knowing about their behavior is what makes me creeped out. And their claws are pretty intimidating too. But today, my older sister got a cute little 8 week old black kitty! We had to go pick it up and stuff so i got to be with a cat and i even held it and it was so not a ferocious thing that would scratch my eyes out! It tried to climb on my shoulder a few times so i have some scratches, but i’m totally fine with it. I kind of feel bad for my sisters dog though. The dog’s name is Carla and really, you have to meet this dog to get it. She’s so smart and she acts like a human. She’s also kind of spoiled too so when we brought the kitty in the car with us Carla did not look happy at all. In back of the car sat me, Carla, and my sister. Carla was in the middle and when one of us would be holding the cat, Carla would move as far away as she could and rest her head on our shoulder. It was so sad! Then when the kitty tried to meet Carla, she just turned away. But i know that after a few weeks they will be snuggled up when the nights are cold. So today I think i partially conquered my cat fear. I haven’t all the way because it wasn’t a big cat, but it’s a step towards being the cat lady too!

It’s hot today. And is suppose to get hotter as the week progresses. That should be fun right? Now i have an excuse to get out of the house and maybe to a beach or pool. Anyway, i hope you all had a fantastic 4th of July Weekend! Yesterday my family decided to have a bbq because the weather was very nice. Of course there were nice yummy veggie burgers to grill up instead of real meat for me. =] I would have tried to eat a “hot dog” like my family, but those veggie dogs are so gross in my opinion. I can’t even describe how they taste. It’s the type of thing that you have to experience to get. But if i were you, i’d pray that i would never have that experience as long as i lived. As for driving news, I got to drive my families other car yesterday which is a huge GMC truck instead of the Mercedes. For some odd reason it was way easier. I backed out of the driveway pretty straight and drove down the street without anything bad happening! Then i turned the whole car around and parked in a nice straight line back in my driveway. I was so soaked! Then my mom came home from work and i guess that i had a little too much confidence coming out because when we were driving back from the store i somehow convinced her to let me drive the last 30 seconds before we got to the house. It was the same length as i had done earlier in the truck, but i happened to be in Mercedes. I didn’t even have to turn around! But when i tried to get back into the street (because my mom had parked near the curb) i couldn’t stay straight and i kept forgetting to straighten my wheels out. Then i had to turn into our driveway and i ended up almost smashing into a high curb and going into some weeds. But my mom is a very understanding person and after i had stepped on the break and thanked the Lord that we didn’t hit the high curb, she politely suggested that she be the one to park the car and i was eternally grateful. But practice makes perfect right? So that was my exciting experience yesterday.
Today I am working on getting my Uber page up. Uber.com is basically what would happen if myspace and facebook got married and had a baby. It’s a social networking site, but you can move all the things around and stuff like on facebook. I think it’s pretty cool and i get my own URL that is my name. Usually i have to do like “bre101online” or something. But not on uber! I can just stick to bre101. So I’ll post the link and stuff in the Updates page okie dokie?

The typical person my age usually has a hot date or a party to attend during the Saturday nights of Summer. But not me. I am usually stuck at home just kind of there. My parents are very strict. But you can always turn a bad situation around right? Tonight my dad helped me back out of our long and curvy driveway and then drive back into the parking spot! Yes it’s time to start learning how to control those huge metal things we call cars. Since i’m short and can barley see over the dashboard of our huge SUV like Mercedes thing i had to move my seat up really high and really forward. After about 5 trys i was able to turn the wheels and drive back to the spot without my dad helping me turn the wheel. Backing up is a little harder though. I usually end up hitting the curb or almost hitting my neighbors portable home that is parked near their house. But practice makes perfect right? Anyways, my dad has found a very safe spot where i can practice driving on an actual road and not threaten any living creature walking this planet. =] I’ll keep you updated if anything exciting happens.

Every year there are over 100,000 animals tested on in the U.S alone. There are many small changes that you can do in your life that will help save millions of helpless animals from being repeatedly tortured and killed everyday. You don’t even have to do the extreme and change very single item that is in your kitchen or bathroom. Just one switch from cruelty to animal-friendly can make a huge difference. Here are some common items found in homes everywhere and their alternatives.
Instead of Clorox Bathroom cleaner

try Method Tub N’ Tile

Instead of Clorox Toilet Cleaner

Try Method Lil’ Bowl Blue

Instead of Secret Deodorant

Try Kiss My Face Active Enzyme

Instead of Crest Toothpaste

Try Tom’s of Maine Anti-cavity

Instead of John Frieda Frizz-Ease

Try Giovanni Frizz Be Gone

Instead of Glade Plugin’s

Try the Method Sent Pill

Instead of Clean and Clear Acne wash

Try Kiss My Face Breakout

These are just a few examples of the many different products that offer animal friendly products. The products i mentioned before i have all seen in the stores that i go to like Vons, Longs, CVS, Ralphs, and Costco. They are also available in Wallgreens.
If you would like a full list of companies that do not test on animals please click here to get a database of them.

My summer has been pretty boring lately. I also have some lame summer reading for my class next year. BORING! But when I’m not reading the fascinating tales of Russka, I am either walking my dogs, playing The Sims2 on my PlayStation, sitting on my butt, playing with my new freshwater snail and feeding him lettuce, or running for ridiculous periods of time. Yeah, it’s pretty boring. But really, in the small town i live in what else is there to do? Sure you can go down with your friends and watch the newest movie like the Disney movie Wall-E and then go grab a Jamba Juice, but that repetitive way of “having fun” has lost my interest. So now, i squeeze in other more interesting books for my age group like The It Girl and the latest book in the series of books created by Stephanie Mayer. On my way down to Borders to buy new books my Mom likes to wonder off to the Wicca and Black Magic Sections. It’s all in good, curious fun, but I personally don’t like to toy around with that kind of stuff. I have recently started reading the Bible more often and all that kind of “sinning” stuff makes me a little uneasy. On our latest trip to Borders I walked over to that section so i could take her to the register because I wanted to leave. As she laughed and looked at all of the Devil Worshiping and Tarot Cards i couldn’t help but notice the overwhelming amount of books that had to do with that disturbing year 2012. They covered a good amount of the bookshelf and as i flipped through some i remembered the post i had done on the subject a few months earlier. if you want a refresher then click here to re-read my post on 2012. Today as i read The Book of Revelation i realized that we are all getting very close to that damned year 2012. I thought about how i wanted my life to go and where i wanted to end up. The comment left by David500000 really says all that i feel.
“I am 15, and to think that all of this could end, really really scares me.
I dont see why everyone in the world cant just get along. The fact that you see people in 2012 as “killing each other” really really scares me. The fact that the worls is ending and everyone is thinking of themselves instead of working together just goes to show how bad this world really is, if that is the way we are going to act, then maybe we deserve this.
But this scares me so much!
I dont want to die yet, and i mean that=[”
I know that it’s boring to hear me talk about this subject again, but really, don’t you all wonder too?
